Life has a way of bringing us moments we never saw coming. And in those moments, it can feel like everything is crashing down at once.

For years, I’ve taught people how to work with their emotions, reconnect with themselves, and find their way back to joy. But the truth is
 I didn’t fully understand just how deeply these tools would be tested in my own life.

When my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, everything changed. What followed was a whirlwind of fear, hope, exhaustion, and ultimately, unimaginable loss. I walked with him through his final days, and then faced the reality of letting go—not just of him, but of the life we had built together.

It would have been so easy to be consumed by the weight of it all. But this is where the work became real. I leaned into the very practices I now share with you—the ones that helped me stay grounded, connected, and able to move through grief without losing myself in it.

What I discovered is this: Being “unbreakable” doesn’t mean you don’t feel pain. It means you learn how to move through it
 and find your way back to yourself.
